Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the principal actor in Stephen Schwartz's celebrated 1972 musical "Pippin" which ran on Broadway. Diane Paulus won the Tony Award at the 67th annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" which was a musical with Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well and directed by Diane Paulus. Patina created her own modern spin on the award-winning Ben Vereen's character and was able to master the Fosse actions that are vital to the production. Patina received nominations for a Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award as well as a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. She also won an award for a Drama League Award as Best Actress for leading Role as well as an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. Her previous role was Leading Player for the American Repertory Theater in "Pippin" between December 2012 through January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
