Sierra Sierra Megan MeganGale, who was then just 18 years old, was the winner of a Perth modeling competition. After several seasons of modeling, Gale gained fame in 1999, when Omnitel Italy (now Vodafone Italy) cast the actress in ads. Gale continued to be prominent in advertisements for the company until 2006. In 2006, the Australian Tourist Commission also hired Gale in 2003 as"Australia's face" in 2003 "face for Australia" in Italy. Gale graced covers for Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. Also, she was featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was prominent in the editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia and Italian GQ. Gale has modelled on runways for Italian fashion houses, including Gianfranco Ferre, Genny, Gai Mattiolo and runway work with Mariella Burani, and Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also an avid devoted fan of many Australian designers such as Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. Gale was the fashion analyst for the Logies the award for an Australian TV awards, back in the year 2006. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modeling after 15 years. She also walked down the catwalk for her last time a few weeks later, at a David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. She wore the Wonder Woman costume she had in mind to wear for her role in the Justice League of America film in the process of being developed. Gale was back on runways in the month of March 2011 as she wrapped Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. Gale was celebrating her 10th anniversary with David Jones in August 2011, the longest fashion contract offered by an Australian. Gale became a part of Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris in the same month. Gale appeared in ads to promote L'Oreal in Australia as well as New Zealand. She also performed in Italy.
