Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood. Britney took dance classes in her youth and was a fantastic gymnast. She was a winner of numerous contests. Britney is a singer however, most importantly, she loved dance classes. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of eight. The show was not accepted due to her young age. Britney was then referred to Broadway's off-Broadway musical "Ruthless" where she played the role of the title character for two years. At the age of 11 she was back in the running for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and was this time able to make it as a mouseketeer alongside many stars of today (Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). Her breakthrough however, was when she was signed Jive Recording Artists in the late 1990s. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" which was released May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was a daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a star. After years of intensive vocal and dance lessons, as well as performing in numerous talent shows and fairs, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television show (1989-1994) at the age of age 8 but was too young to get the role. Britney and her infant sister, Britney relocated to New York, where she was featured in numerous TV commercials and an off Broadway show called "Ruthless" which was directed by the guidance by Natalie Portman. Two years later the passion for dance and music began to take over. Britney auditioned once more for a role on "Mickey Mouse" and was selected along with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
