Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on the 7th of September, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a actor in the theatre writer, director, actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother and is an actress. She has two older brothers--Dana Wood, who is a musician as well as Ira David Wood IV, who has also acted. Evan and her brothers sometimes appeared in the Theatre In The Park in Raleigh the company her father established and where the director is executive. When she was five, she auditioned for the part in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). Along with her mom and brother Ira, she moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since the time, she has seen successes in TV series and movies on television, and feature films. She was a star in Practical Magic (1998) as the daughter of Al Pacino. The comedic S1m0ne(2002) was followed by Thirteen (2003) featuring Holly Hunter. She won an award of a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in the form of a Miniseries or Movie" for her portrayal of Veda Pierce in the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce (2011). Her powerful portrayal of Stephanie Rourke's estranged kid in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008) earned her praise. Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III are her parents. Ira David Wood III's younger sister. Trained in dance. She loves to dance or sing, play the rollblade and ride horses. She holds the black belt for tae the kwon-do. She's been in contact most of her time in Once and Again (1999) and castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
